Quick TO:SS Week 10: Packers versus Steelers

A refreshing win last week, can the Pack gain momentum against a tough Steelers front?

Packers (3-5) T2 (5-3)

The Green Bay Packers picked up a much needed win against the Rams last week, 20-3. So they picked up a W, as did we, and now we move on to Week 10 action in Pittsburgh against the Steelers.

Green Bay’s offensive line played well against a tough Los Angeles front last week. They kept Jordan Love relatively clean and were able to open up holes in the run game. (MLF made good on his promise to unleash Aaron Jones. Let’s see if he does it two weeks in a row.)

If the Packers thought they had their hands full with Aaron Donald, they’re entering a whole new danger zone with Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt. They need a similar effort offensively, to negate him and stay “productive” offensively.

Defensively, it’s any port in a storm for Green Bay. Take who you have, and go get the job done. Example: with Jaire banged up, Carrington Valentine (a rookie) showed up and showed out on an elite level against the Rams. (That’s not hyperbole.) I guarantee you didn’t hear Puka or Cooper’s name often last week. He’ll need a similar effort against the likes of George Pickens and Diontae Johnson.

The defense as a whole will need to continue their stinginess, giving up only 19.9 points per game and live up to their 11th ranked total defense. (Love or dislike Joe Barry, his unit is keeping this squad in games.)

With that being said: who win? Who prevails? Week 10. Packers. Steelers. In Pittsburgh. Sunday afternoon?

I’ll go: Pittsburgh 24 – Green Bay 20

Once again the Packers defense will keep them in the game and give them opportunities with creating turnovers, but I feel T.J. Watt will make a critical play in the game, that the Steelers will be able to capitalize with points. Whereas the Packers will continue to struggle in that regard.

24-20 Pittsburgh over Green Bay, 24-20 Steelers over Packers. Remember: it does not matter the score. All that matters is I said, the Steelers would defeat the Packers, this Sunday.
